Ukelele Stand Add-on (for Guitar Stand)

Where to put your ukelele? If you already have one of those ubiquitous guitar stands, why not use that structure to also hold your uke? These four pieces will give you an add-on ukelele stand for your existing guitar stand. If you don't have a guitar stand, you could probably just put a length of 15mm dowel into a base, and then use these pieces to make a custom ukelele-only stand for your favourite instrument. I've seen these guitar stands everywhere for decades, and they all look roughly the same, though from various vendors. I'm assuming all the vertical tubes are the same as mine - and about 15mm (or 5/8") in diameter. 3D printers can vary a bit, so if the part is a bit loose on the post, use a dot or two of hot glue (or silicone?) inside the clamp pieces (let it dry). That will stop the clamp-parts from slipping at all. They have a bit of flex designed-in, so I'd hope in most cases that they simply grip on pretty snugly like mine do. Careful - don't try to snap them onto the vertical post - PLA doesn't have THAT much flex. Just SLIDE them up the shaft from the bottom instead. The bottom assembly is a 'bayonet' mount. You should GLUE the peg into the fork-piece, then bayonet it into the lower clamp piece. It'll hold there and rotate a bit as your uke requires, for a good snug fit. Be sure it's all secure and the clamps don't rotate on the post, so that your uke will be held securely, and not fall off. Happy ukelele-ing! **optional** A longer upper neck-holder piece is provided. Depending on how you place your guitar on the stand, the neck could touch the uke neck. If that's an issue for you, you might prefer the longer upper clamp/neck-holder.
