ULA Challenge, Boattail Bracket

This design is my entry into the ULA Rocket Hardware Challenge. The bracket is designed to fit inside the part envelope set forth in the challenge and comes well under the max weight of 0.1 pounds weighing in at 0.046 pounds. The bracket meets the strength requirement with a max Von Mises stress of 2,485 psi giving the bracket a factor of safety of 1.81. All bolt holes have the minimum 2 times bolt hole diameter edge requirement and the part is designed so that minimum support material is needed for manufacturing. All bolt holes are easily accessible making installation less tedious and more efficient. The bracket is lightweight without compromising it's strength which is one of the main tenets of aerospace engineering.
