Ulti-Replicator

This is the Ultimate upgrade for your original Replicator or "compatible" printer. Huge 16x16x16 inch (400x400x400mm) build area. As demonstrated at World Maker Faire in NYC 2013. Instructions Some basic notes on this design: It's STILL a work in progress. It uses the extruders and Mightyboard electronics from the Replicator 1 dual. It is best used with Sailfish firmware. It does not have to use servo motors and encoders but they certainly do make it print better. If you are building one this big, you might as well go all the way. Some of the most recent mods, there is no CAD. The parts were made by hand. I will attempt to get you the info and measurements. That said, I've included pictures and the files for the older style of 12mm rods being used for the central cross supporting the extruders. There are 2 versions, single or double rods (AKA 2 rods or 4 rods). I had massive ringing problems with the bot on both of those. The latest design and the BOM include the basic bare bones info for using Igus brand camera sliders as the central cross. The laser cut files are intended to be cut in material between 5 to 6.36mm thick (AKA 1/4 inch). It can be anything from plywood to aluminum. Due to the high stress at the mounting points, I do not recommend using acrylic due to the likelyhood of cracks but I did cut one myself as a mockup. Again, if the first line didn't tell you, this is a work in progress. There may be missing parts, incomplete BOM or other problems. I'm working to correct that, please be patient.
