Modified Motor Shaft Adaptor is made out of aluminum and slides onto the motor shaft. This Motor Shaft Adaptor eliminates the need to use the OEM plastic insert that separates it from the Adjustable - Driven Varidisc. In the original design of the Ultima-4VK Head Back Gear, a Plastic Insert is used to separate the Motor Shaft Adaptor from the Adjustable-Driven Varidisc. The Plastic Insert allows the varidisc to slide up and down the Motor Shaft Adaptor. The Plastic Insert wears out quickly or breaks and, though relatively inexpensive, it is difficult to install as the motor and the entire belt housing has to be removed from the machine. The modified Motor Shaft Adaptor, made out of aluminum to very close tolerances, eliminates the need to use the plastic insert, allows the Adjustable-Driven Varidisc to slide freely and wears very slowly.
