Ultimaker 1 hot end 30mm fan mount

This is a simple and light weight fan mount for an 30x30mm fan, to cool the printhead holder, peak isolator & hot end isolator coupler to prevent heating up which often results in the filament getting stuck in the hot end. (Mocked up the foto's since I already installed a E3D-v6 head) Instructions Simple attachment by unscrewing two long bold that go through the head.First put on a hex nut on both the long bolds when partially inserted into the head, and then put the fan mount on the two long bolds. Then screw everything together again. Use the hex nuts to tighten the fan mount. The fan has to be connected to an always on 12V supply (when using a 12V fan of course :-) using the extra wires for the second heater nozzle thermocouple. Pick two wires and connect them to the GND and 12V. My Ultimaker has a 19V supply, I just carefully soldered a wire to the output of the 7812 regulator. Don't wire the fan to the print cooler fan since it is not always on. The head fan needs to be always on to keep cooling the middle section of the head after a print, preventing the filament from getting stuck.
