I will share my work here regarding to change the BCN3D hotend to the Ultimaker 3 Print core system. My Version 3 is now ready. All STL-files are needed in the download section. This is what I think is my final version for now. In version 3 I have removed fan covers to save weight and space also I have made the bracket "lower_print_core_bracket_v3.stl" in a way so it shall be possible to make it in aluminium. I recommend to make this part in aluminium. Printed in regular resin it bent some later on when printing ABS. So if you want to have this part printed you should use High temp resin or similar. This upgrade does not involve any kind of damaging modification on the printer. You will only need to remove some parts in the area where the old hotend are mounted. The height of the nozzle remains on the same place as on original hotend. X and Y position for the nozzle also remains as on the original hotend. How to shim the "print cores" for mirror and duplication mode I have not solved yet. You are free to make modifications to my design but I would be happy if I'm mentioned as creator for the original design. :-) To be able to use the UM3 Print cores on thje Sigma and Sigmax Printers you need to replace the PT100 sensor with a Thermistor. I used the E3D thermistor for the V6 hotend. No soldering needed.
