Ultimaker filament spool holder

Ultimaker filament spool holder

I was pretty happy with the idea to have the filament spool at the back of my ultimaker but had a lot of spools that didn't fit on the original holder. I didn't want to use any other parts so i designed a full plastic printable one for spools with a diameter of down to 30mm. The holder is sturdy enough to hold 2kg+ and has a tilt of 3° upwards so the spool doesn't slide down. This is my first design on thingverse so feel free for recommendations. Instructions Its pretty easy to print and install, you will need the "spool holder base" and the "spool holder 100mm" part at least. If you have a second spool, you can just ad the 40, 60 or 90 mm part to it. I use it since a few months now and has no problems so far. You might have to sand it a bit so the parts can connect, but not too much, they have to stay tight. I printed it in PLA with only 20% infill, 1,2mm walls and 0,15mm layer height and had 2kg on it. The strange shapes are for the sturdiness but if you want to try more weight, maybe a bit more infill would help. No brim, no support needed. Most parts will work without support, just use at least 30mm/s print speed. In the "base" part there is support for the hooks included. You can remove it easily after printing.
