Ultimaker X/Y rods sit in bearings that are pushed into the wooden frame. If the bearings are sticking out of the frame even a little, they'll cause drag on the rods and make it difficult to print at higher speeds. This is a Thing that helps push the bearings evenly into the frame just a little bit. Instructions print with a slow, "high quality" profile the round part on top is 0.5mm tall so a .25mm profile is probably best carefully clean the circular top so it's nice and flat remove one bolt from an endcap and rotate the cap out of the way - you probably will need to loosen the other bolt a little, too use the Thing to push the bearing into the frame - it may take a bit of effort reinsert the bolt and tighten things back up repeat for each endcap This is a pain to do on a machine that's already assembled - the endcap nuts are not really easily accessable once the pulleys and belts are installed. If you can print one (or get one printed) before assembly, it will be far easier to get the bearings seated correctly.
