Ultimaker2-Family - Improved slider block
youmagine
This design builds upon the original slider block of Ultimaker 2, first released in September 2013. What makes this design different or better? This variant was created from scratch, retaining the essential features and dimensions of the original while introducing some key improvements. Optimized for 3D printing rather than injection molding, all snap locks have been modified to open more easily, streamlining maintenance tasks. This means you can create a small supply as needed without waiting for expensive original parts or cheap Chinese alternatives. Universal application: This design is compatible with tension springs of varying inner diameters. Simply drill out the leadthroughs and secure the half-shells using a screw that matches the spring's diameter. A bolt with nut holds everything in place. Perfect for MXL- and GT2-belts up to 6.5mm wide, this design also accommodates sliding bearings measuring 8mm x 11mm x 30mm, with a bearing seat of 8.5mm x 11.2mm x 30.2mm. Updated on April 14, 2018: This design is now compatible with sliding bearings measuring 8mm x 12mm x 30mm, featuring a bearing seat of 8.5mm x 12.2mm x 30.2mm.
