Standalone Rack for the UM2 Spool Holder - Version Two A more rugged version of my initial attempt, which can be found at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker2-spool-rack. Print one base and one backplate. The two components are designed to snap together effortlessly. I printed the parts in PLA with 3 shells (1.2mm wall thickness) and 20% infill, resulting in a remarkably sturdy structure. The 110mm wide base is sufficient for standard filament spools up to 1kg. If additional stability is required, choose the 130mm variant of the base. This standalone rack can be combined with any spool holder that fits on the Ultimaker2. I personally use the "Low Friction UM2 Spoolholder" designed by IRobertI, available at https://www.youmagine.com/designs/low-friction-um2-spoolholder. Update 12/2016: an alternative (longer) backplate version for XL spools with a diameter of 300mm has been added.
