I'm a bit of a flashlight junkie. That's a lie. I'm a full on flashlight junkie. I can't get enough of them. So, when I saw cdcrockett's "Customizable Flashlight Diffuser Cap" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:273656) I was thrilled! THRILLED, I tell you! If you haven't seen cdcrockett's thing, you should go check it out now. It is a great tool for adding functionality to almost any flashlight. When printed in white or "clear" filament, it turns a flashlight into a mini lantern, casting light in a spherical pattern rather than a straight beam. Decidedly worse for looking out the back door at night to see what knocked over the trash cans; decidedly better for things like power outages or night time activities where area light is warranted. Here's the beautiful part, though: You simply pop it on to the end of the flashlight when needed, so you are ready for both situations. AND, if printed in other colors, like red, it can be used to turn an ordinary flashlight into one that preserves your night vision. This is particularly useful to amateur astronomers, hunters, special forces commandos, and mall ninjas everywhere. PLUS, using the red diffuser with the flashlight's strobe function makes a passable emergency strobe/flare/beacon thingy. This particular customization fits the UltraFire SK68 7w 300lm 3-mode LED flashlight. It should also fit any other flashlight with a 26mm bezel. So, if you don't have the means or are otherwise too lazy to customize your own, I have done it for you. You're welcome. Wanna have a workable alternative because you don't want to print one of these? You're in luck. It just so happens that a Coke bottle cap fits pretty well on the end of one of these flashlights. It doesn't work as well as this thing, but it does work. So, drink a soda, take a step closer to diabetes, and get a cheap diffuser as a reward!
