Fits 1 (one) Maxbotix LV-EZ(x) in a Hollow flexible mount Brick with a 2 Segment extension tube. This mount is intended to basically hold up a MaxSonar LV-EZ0 Range Finder Sonar for prototyping some ideas. The base mount brick itself is equal to 3 (2x4) Lego bricks that can be "bricked" into a nice support structure to hold it in place. Then the end mount that holds the sensor can be positioned in any direction. The wires from the end mount are then able to be threaded through the tube and through the base Brick. It should be compatible with All "EZ" series. This Kit Includes: FlexSegBase2 - Ultrasonic Base Mount Brick with Flex Mount Tube Nib. (2) FlexSeg_WN2 - Flex Tube Segments. FlexSeg_MountBak2 - Flex Segment Mount Back Clip and Tube Nib. FlexSeg_MountFace - Front Mount Brick that Clips to Mount Back and holds the Sensor. Actually this is "2" things.. You can just print the bbFlexSeg_WN2 if you just want a flexible tube.. Instructions Print parts Face Down. Print as many Flex Segments as you want. In MakerWare, I modify the "Medium" settings: Quality: Layer Height = 0.16 All other defaults are the same. If you don't have a 3D printer we can make you one pretty cheap.. badbrick.com/catalog Notes: To reduce splitting Flex Segments when assembling the tube we suggest you lightly sand the small top nub and the inside of the bottom nub. However, don't sand too much as it will reduce the tubes static positioning. Note++: We do split them all the time, mainly because we can't seem to listen to our own advice and sand the nubs. However, because we print them vertically they still retain enough friction to keep position on light loads. Little dab of super glue will fix the split right up.. Serious about the sanding though.. It helps.
