Ultrasound Probe Covers

Ultrasound Probe Covers

thingiverse

A friend who is a doctor travels a lot carrying ultrasound equipment. The transducers are vulnerable, expensive, and not packaged by the manufacturer for portability; so he wanted protective covers for the most vulnerable part, the probe end. This design covers the three probes in his kit, and is extensible for additional probes as they are acquired. The three probes included here are: •Sonoscape L741 •Sonoscape C344 •Sonoscape 2P1 Post-Printing After printing the two halves, I lined the interiors with self-adhesive felt, purchased at craft stores in 8.5x11 sheets. For hinge pins, I straightened out ordinary paper clips with a diameter of 1 mm. Push the pin through all 4 hinge barrels, then bend it so it doesn't slide out. I bent mine in the middle, into a loop, onto which a small retaining strap can be linked.
