This is my third design of a replacement hotend mount for the Ultimaker 2 gantry. This design offers a direct replacement from the factory mount, reusing the bearings as intended. Unlike previous versions, this one doesn't necessitate any endstop modifications but does involve sacrificing some print area - something I'm actively working on for the next iteration. On the plus side, you gain approximately 4mm of Z-axis clearance, which is a significant advantage. Settings: Rafts: Do not use rafts. Supports: None are needed in this design. Resolution: The default resolution of .1 mm will work perfectly well. Infill: A moderate infill density of 30% is recommended.
