It doesnt restrain the camera. Its really just offer a plate to sit the camera on.So far it as been holding position pretty good without anything to hold it from sliding. If it does let me know and add a part toward the nearest screw.Slide the part in the front plank first and then lift the far right part to snap it on the side plank
