Umbra Paper Towel Holder Design

The idea in this paper towel holder design is to fit into any small kitchen without taking space on the countertop or under cabinets. It is also designed to be reachable for small children. Moreover, replacement of current holder designs needs to either disassemble the holder or make sure the center pole is aligned to the inner paper roll. For a small kitchen like I have now, the countertop is often crowded. Coffee machine, microwave, oven, stand mixer, blender, plates and bowls, water bottles, pots and hot pans, and recipes are all over the countertop when friends are visiting. It is usually hard to squeeze another space for the paper towel. Mounting under the cabinets is not accessible for children. After their art work or dirt fun, it would be even messy to have them get a chair and climb up to get the paper towel. Therefore, my idea is to have the paper towel hiding behind the cabinet door right under the countertop, but still easily reachable when I need it. At this height, even a child can reach it with no problem. Installation is easy. It is just to hook the holder on the cabinet door and screw or stick in place. Then place the paper towel and slide into front slit. Replacement is also convenient and much faster. There is no need to align the center pole or disassemble the holder. It is just to take the paper roll out and dump the new paper towel roll in.
