Umidigi A13 Pro 5G Phone cases - hard and soft

I got tired of the thin clear TPU cases these phones come with, and with no vendors selling heavy duty cases that were not the fold-flap kind, but I couldn't find any designs, so I modified a likely candidate. It's still a work in progress but as you can see from the pics, it works. There is a bevel inside to accomodate the curved back. Soft case - 5 sides with thick lip for screen. Hard Case - 3 sides plus all 4 corners, and thick lip for screen. Both cases work well, but since the soft one surrounds things and is still thicker than the OEM one, I use that one more often. The hard case feels really good in the hand, though. There is enough thickness to cover the camera and even a thick screen protector. The hard case is quite a tight fit so make sure your printer is calibrated well - you should have to bend the case a little to get the phone inside. I like PLA+ for the hard case so that while it might break it will absorb more force in doing so. ABS and ASA might work well, too, but I haven't tried. The soft case is good with 95A TPU or even F-PLA though getting it on might be more of a challenge for the F-PLA. Thanks to kenlp for his generic phone parametric design, but unforutnately I could not get Fusion 360 to work on my linux boxes, so I just modified his sample Samsung STL using Tinkercad and lots of measuring and test prints for the hard case. Once I got everything down, I worked on end-caps for the ends for a soft case, and voila'. Next up, a case for the Umidigi A13 Pro Max, but that one I'll do from scratch (helps that it has a flat back!). Check back in weeks or months depending on my work schedule. ;-) I could probably modify an iPhone one, but I figure it's time to try one from scratch.
