Under Cabinet Lighting Fixture

Under Cabinet Lighting Fixture

This is a set of under-cabinet lighting fixtures I created for all my custom smart kitchen lighting gadgets. It's made to fit the following components, plus the circuitry to control them (I use ESP8266s). It's 3/4" deep with an unobtrusive design so the box isn't really visible from the front. I run my cables inside the cabinets, so the 12V usually comes in from the mounting bracket, while the PWN signal goes out through one of the holes on the side. There's a switch hold cover if you choose to not use the switches, but I find it helpful to be able to turn them off individually sometimes. * TTP223 Capacitive Touch Sensor (about US$0.25 each) * HC-SR501 IR Pyroelectric Infrared PIR Motion Sensor (about US$1 each) * TEMT6000 Light Sensor Module (about US$1 each) * 15mm x 10mm Rocker Switch (about US$0.10 each) Use metric M2 nuts and screws for assembly, and #6 wood screws for the the holes in the mounting brackets. The lids are friction fit with small detents, but if you pack the boxes, you might need to use a little white electrical tape to keep them shut. The SR-501 *does* fit into the front panel of design #1 -- you need to take the lens off, though, and it can be a little tricky getting it fastened into place. For the other designs, it's a bit angled so that it'll detect motion when you step up to it. For example, I use Design 1 in the corner and that tells me kitchen occupancy, and I use the other at the coffee station so it lights up when someone approaches it. You can mirror this is you want it pointing in the other direction. I've also included the body parts with rafting you can add support structure onto, and lids with and without the motion sensor housing. Note that the lids for Designs 2 & 3 are slightly different sizes -- not quite sure how that happened. Design #3 is a narrower for about 20mm to allow space for the aluminum LED channels where I had a tighter fit. I hope you find this useful!
