Under Desk Headphone / Audio Jack Extender and Anker USB 3.0 Hub mount

thingiverse

This is a remix of my Audio Jack Extender (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4653959), but I added a USB 3.0 Hub to it. The whole thing mounts under the controller for my uplift desk with an Ikea Gerton solid wood top, but it should also be mountable without the controller too. It uses a pair of cable strain relief boots which I printed in TPU, and I recommend using TPU for the boots. However, I did add an untested solid cable boot which can be printed in PLA or PETG (Audio_extension-1H-CABLE-SR-PLA-A.stl and Audio_extension-1H-CABLE-SR-PLA-B.stl). If you print the solid cable boot please provide some feedback. This is designed to use the following parts: MillSO 3.5mm Headphone Extension Cable Amazon Item "B07W7JQ673" (please copy and paste the item in the search field at Amazon, you can read why below) And the USB hub is an Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Ultra Slim Hub Amazon Item "B07L32B9C2" (please copy and paste the item in the search field at Amazon, you can read why below) It was mounted with some #6 screws but I think #8 would work too. There is also a pair of small cable management clips (for one or two cables), which can be mounted with some small screws or double sided tape. To print the cable boot, I used PRILINE TPU which is a less flexible TPU (but works well for this). Amazon Item "B074DV9JMX" (please copy and paste the item in the search field at Amazon, you can read why below) Part is not oriented for printing. If you print one, please post a make. The STEP file is included for easy remixing. 1/23/2021 - I have removed any Amazon links, and instead provided the amazon item numbers in quotes. This was done as a small protest against the way Thingiverse edited my description, and installed their Amazon Affiliate links without notifying users that they were doing it. Sorry for the extra step of having to copy and paste the item numbers, but I believe they need to be clear with content creators about this. I did not originally post my own affiliate links here - they were "clean" Amazon links, but for some content creators here, the affiliate links are the only way they receive anything back for their work, and that avenue is now closed off.
