Under Desk Slide Out Mount For A Lenovo M700 (or M93p) Tiny PC (With STEP File)

<strong>This is my 100th Thingiversary!</strong> I tried posting this earlier today and the site gagged on it with everything including the description blown out, about 20m wasted. I decided to try again during off hours so hopefully it will work this time. This is an under desk mount for a Lenovo M700 "tiny" PC (and also works for the M93p / Thanks Szseer). It has two parts, one mounts to the desk with some #8 screws, and the other holds the PC and a 2.5" hard drive. I am using the adapter below for this which was $6.99 at Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S9CKV7X/ The PC will slide out of the mount on a pair of rails which have dovetails to help it defy gravity. <strong>Needless to say, this is an at your own risk thing, and the strength of the mount will rely on several factors, all I can say is mine is fine and I have no concerns about it.</strong> <strike>There is no latch or screw to hold the PC in the mount</strike>, but it seems that gravity and the friction in the rails is enough to keep mine happily where I put it, unless I support the PC and then I can slide it out. If you have little ones around it would be a good idea to find some way to keep it from sliding out, maybe a screw into the desk at the front to act as a stop would work. You can also try the m700-mount-1Y-BASE-V2.stl model which has a tab for running the screw through the base plate, into the case mounting hole - which would hopefully secure it in place. The STEP files are included for easy remixing (and please post it if you do remix it). If you want the original model I printed, you need these files: m700-mount-1X-HDD-MOUNT.stl m700-mount-1X-HDD-BASE.stl The following files are modified (possibly improved versions of these): m700-mount-1Y-HDD-MOUNT-CM.stl (untested) has some channels for zip ties to pass though. m700-mount-1X-NO-HDD.stl (tested - works / thanks Szseer) same as the original PC mount part, but does not have a space for a HDD. m700-mount-1Y-BASE-V2.stl (untested) This is a base which has an added tab for securing the mount with one screw. It helps it not to slide out. The other screw is still used to hold the Mount to the PC. This will require some M3 screws, I think they were 8mm, and some M3 washers, for mounting the "mount" to the PC at the back panel. I printed mine using Silver FIlacube PLA 2 (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B076Z1DCY6/), using 0.24mm resolution on the mount and 0.2mm on the base. I'd recommend printing with 3 walls and no less than 35% infill (I used zig zag). Those are just my $0.02, so use your best judgement. My desk is a solid wood "Gerton" from Ikea, which is a solid platform for mounting things to (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50106773/). If your desk is hollow core, you may need to figure out some other means of mounting like VHB tape or glue since screws may tear out. <strong>If you make one, please post a make, good luck!</strong>
