The Underrun Protection is designed with lightweight construction, rigidity, and aesthetics in mind. In terms of manufacturing, it should be easy and cost-effective to produce. Horizontal sheets are constructed using trapezium shapes for simplicity; however, some singularities were considered during simulation to avoid issues later on. The material yield strength must not exceed 355 MPa, with displacements limited to under 40 mm. A lightweight design is also a priority. The model weighs approximately 45.5 kg when made from suggested materials. Simulation results include: - Case P1: Displacement - 9mm; Huber Stress (VM) - 352 MPa - Case P2: Displacement - 2.5mm; Huber Stress (VM) - 296 MPa - Case P3: Displacement - 2.5mm; Huber Stress (VM) - 354 MPa
