I am employing this bracket to support a substantial light fixture underneath a cabinet. I utilized #6 1.25" wood screws to fasten the bracket securely to the 0.75" plywood depicted. The screw is countersunk yet also lifted away from the plywood, preventing the 1.25" screw from piercing through the other side. There exists a hole measuring 0.5" in diameter on the hook/platform component so that a drill bit or screwdriver can access the countersunk mounting screw.
