Unibody Tatting Shuttle

Unibody Tatting Shuttle

This is a tatting shuttle that prints as a single body. No assembly required. You will need to sand it to make it smooth enough for its purpose, which is to make lacework. I've printed it in ABS. It probably will print well in PLA, perhaps easier than with ABS. Enjoy! Post-Printing You'll need to finish this with sandpaper. After breaking off the supports, there will be nubs that need to be sanded out. Even without that, you'll want to sand the shuttle just to get it smooth. Maybe you'll want to paint it too, since bare 3D materials are a bit boring. How I Designed This the other shuttles found here are in two pieces I printed out some other shuttles from Thingiverse that are perfectly fine. Probably the world does not need this contribution. But those shuttles all are in two pieces, some using force-fit and others requiring glue to put them together. I didn't see why that should be necessary, especially since printing the other shuttles in the best orientation for strength and utility ends up requiring supports, so may as well print as a unibody. Thus this model. I used Fusion360 to create the model, saved as STL, then imported into Meshmixer to create the supports. The resulting STL was exported from Meshmixer.
