## Design Intention Commercial bait stations (such as those from Raid®), as customers learn from firsthand experience, are often expensive and inefficient. This design addresses cost and efficiency issues yet strive to preserve the merits of an enclosed bait by providing a universal 3D printed bait platform for small household pests. It reduces treatment cost dramatically by allowing the use of gel and other forms of bait (including DIY bait) in bulk quantities. Thanks to its material-saving and compact design, it can be 3D printed easy and fast, without any support structure. It improves effectiveness by providing max level of bait access; since it is easily producible with a 3D printer, achieving comprehensive coverage is economical. Cheap materials such as PLA and PETG are perfectly suitable. Also a great starter print for easily warped materials like ASA and ABS. In order to insure the lid is fit, the recommended layer height is no more than 0.15mm. This design works best if your printer is dimensionally accurate and can reproduce details; if not, scale the lid until it fits well and snugly. If your printer have melt issues, print at least 2 copies at once and leave the fan on high. Don't use any support, however. ## Design Limitations Designed for use with Gel/Tablet/DIY forms of insecticide. May not work with liquid, powder or other forms. Designed for smaller insects such as German cockroaches and ants. It can be used with American roaches since the entryway is 10mm high, but you may need to scale the model if you are expecting even larger ones. This is designed to be a bait station, not a trap. It will poison insects, but not trap them inside. The visual ring guide is not a bait retainer. Your bait must be tacky in nature, for example peanut butter consistency. Solid baits can be fixed in place with adhesives. Designed with Inventor 20. IPT included.
