Now I can consider this project finished. The original stand has been used with all kind of computers, tablets, laptops and even notebooks. This last version includes some minor details that will make your device fit perfectly avoiding the risk of falling down the stand. You have to cut (using the DXF file) or print (using the STL files) 2 arms and 2 supports. The vitamins needed are the same than in previous versions, but I now include nut caps created by jspark: 3 x 20cm (or longer) M8 threaded bars 12 x M8 nuts 12 x M8 Washers (optional) 6 x Closed M8 nut caps 6 x Open M8 nut caps We replaced all the MK2 in the office by MK3 as we found that some devices (specially the thinner MacBooks Air) could fall from the stand. That's not fun, one of these machines costs as much as a compatible kidney. In addition I also include DXF files that will allow your stand to be processed in your favorite laser cutter. I strongly advice Acrylic, 8 or 10mm for this stand in that case. And orange. I love orange. A video with all the steps is also available. If you would like to support my work you can buy a laptop stand in Spitni Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 ION Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 microns Infill: 30% Notes: If you use ABS filament, as this is a model of certain length, I advice the use of a 6mm brim around in order to reduce warping. The use of Lacquer is also advised. PLA and other filaments as Nylon should work perfectly. Post-Printing
