GOOGLE THEM BECAUSE I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THEM. -BY USING THIS SYSTEM, CODE, IDEA, HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR ANYTHING RELATED YOU, AND ONLY YOU ARE TAKING FULL RESPONSABILITY FOR THE SAFTY OF ANY PERSONS/PROPERTY THAT MAY BE AFFECTED BY ITS USE/MISUSE. I JAMES SESLER AM NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY TYPE. I AM RELEASING THIS AS IDEA AND CODE AS OPEN SOURCE WITH THE HOPES IT WILL BE USEFULL TO THE COMMUNITY BUT ALSO WITH NO PROMISE THAT IT WILL BE USEFULL TO ANYONE. -switch a laser driver circuit on and off. NOW with SAFETY toggle OR DOOR switch AND LIGHT 8/26/2013- James Sesler August 23 2013 ADDED SAFETY SWITCH AND VISUAL ON AUGUST 26 2013 1) This sketch reads the voltage from a small DC motor or other source on Analog Pin "0". 2) If the voltage is higher than the set voltage it triggers digital pin 9 to go high. 3) That HIGH 5v signal triggers a switch "MOSFET" transistor to allow power to flow to a laser driver circuit, relay, motor, or other load. 4) The dc motor it to be attached to the extruder's stepper motor shaft on a RepRap style 3D Printer so when the stepper is turning that laser will be active and when the stepper stops turning the laser will shut off. This allows a person to use their 3D printer as a laser cutter/engraver without firmware or hardware modification. Simply remove the filament from your extruder, turn down the heat and clip on the laser diode. ----------------->To create the tool paths follow this example of cutting a square:<-------------- a) Creat a 3d model of a square that is the same height as a single layer you would 3d print at, usually .3mm b) Make the wall thickness the same as your printers extruder nozzle so your slicing program only generates one pass. c) Turn down the x,y,z travel speed so it moves very slow BUT turn UP the extruder speed so when it turns the DC motor this sketch will be able to detect a sufficent voltage. This sketch should help with creating the model correctly to get the slicer to generate the code correctly -->\ <-- Nozzle diameter Usually .35mm - .4mm \ \ _______________ |\ _____________ \ \ \ _________|\ \ | \ ______\ \ | ___________ \ _V__ |_____________| ___ ^ | L_____ One layer thickness usually .3mm
