Universal printer vibration dampener remix

thingiverse

A 3D printer dampener to use with a practice PU golf ball (41 mm diameter). This is a remix of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1992030, 25% faster to print and with 33% less matter. My goal was to make a remix of Trobinou's dampener (which is also a remix), but with less matter and a shorter time to print (and with three screw holes for a stronger assembling). On my printer: original file needed (according to Cura) 5.88 m, 79 mn and 18g PLA (17% infill, 0.2 mm layer thickness, no support). remixed file needs (according to Cura) 4.04 m, 60 mn (it took 54 mn) and 12g PLA (17% infill, 0.2 mm layer thickness, no support). I made a prototype with a raw plank and the difference in noise is pretty noticeable (I can now print even when everybody is sleeping :) !) References: This thing is a remix of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1992030. 41 mm PU golf ball: Look for "pu practice golf ball" in a Web search engine. Print Settings Printer: DiscoEasy200 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 17% Notes: Infill doesn't really matter, as there is not a lot of inner volume. Takes about 54 mn to print with a 0.2 mm resolution and 12 g PLA. The SCAD file has no parameter.
