E27 socket LED-lamps are not very durable in general. Some models start to flicker after fairly short use. The bulb of such lamp can be easily disassembled and reused as a programmable RGB indicator bulb used for some meaningfull things or just as a 'color changing mood light'. I use the concept as an indicator for e.g. incoming post (physical post) as I am having a WiFi message sender in my mailbox. One indicates when my sauna is in correct temperature. There another WiFi messager sends the temperature information. Needed: a LED lamp with E27 Socket a 12 bit WS2812 5050 RGB ring-LED an ESP8266-board (Wemos D1 or similar) Soldered one I/O pin and power +5V/GND Programmed based on the application.
