The Universal Soldering Helper ---------------------------------------- [UPDATE] After working with this for several month, I don't want to miss it anymore. It's so useful and works like a charm! Every time I have to work without it, it annoys me not having it. [/UPDATE] This is a new design of a universal soldering helper. I didn't like the soldering helpers with the tiny wiggly arms so this is what I designed. Watch it on youtube https://youtu.be/KX1DMfEJ1-0 Both bodies are filled with small lead balls and are heavy enough to clamp PCBs and other things very firmly. The top weighs 300g and the bottom 420g. They are glued together with CA glue. The are covered in foam rubber so the clamped parts won't be damaged and are held tightly. Templates for cutting the foam are includes as XPS files to print them on paper, or as STLs to print them in 3D, which is better for cutting around them. I attached the foam with double sided tape. Pro Tip: If Objects are too small, just grab them with your tweezers and clamp the tweezers in the soldering helper!
