This is an adapter to attach any smartphone to any eyepiece. The eyepiece adapter fits on most standard telescope eyepiece diameters, and the smartphone clamp should fit all smartphones (please, put your phablet away, you're embarrassing yourself). It can also be easily adapted to fit the eyepieces of many other scopes. Version 2 modified to use M6 hex head bolts since some hardware stores only stock hex head from M6 upwards, only uses 3 bolts now and has rails to keep it in line. (designed for 0.5mm nozzle). Additional parts required: 3x M6x25 hex head bolt 3x M6 wingnut How I Designed This Trying to focus a smartphone camera on a telescope eyepiece to catch images of far off galaxies is a hit and miss process that blinds you in the dark. So I created this simple clamping mechanism that allows you to set the smartphone position and use its screen to constantly view the universe :) As a useful side effect the device can be used for anything that has an eyepiece. (Microscope, Binoculars, Laser welder, etc.) Instructions Print with 0.5 or 0.4mm nozzle. (designed for 0.5, Hex head of bolts may slip if printed with 0.3 nozzle). I found that you can replace the wingnuts with a strong elastic band around the protruding bolts which pulls the clamps together nicely. Note: This will not fit an iPhone because as usual the apple products are not compatible with anything not made by apple.
