Universal Wall Hook for MultiClip

Universal Wall Hook for MultiClip

prusaprinters

This is a very sturdy, universally usable and aestethically pleasing wall hook for the MultiClip universal mounting system.

With MultiClip you can choose from a variety of ways to attach the hook, e.g. normal screws, glue clips, magnets or a stapler.

There is a short and a long version available. Most people like the long one better, but the short one is of course faster to print. The pictured hooks are the long version.

Long version: 48mm high, 17.5mm wide, 33mm deep
Short version: 38mm high

Printed in PLA with 1mm solid shell and 15% infill, the hook is able to carry at least 15kg of weight without breaking.

For all you FDM printing people, please choose the STL file with "FDM" in the name. It is aligned in a way that printing ensures a maximum of structural integrity. It also features a specialized support piece for the multiclip insert. If your printer has decent part cooling you will not need any additional support.

If you like the MultiClip idea you might want to have a look at some more MultiClip-enabled designs. You are also very welcome to use the MultiClip Templates for your own objects.

Print Settings

Printer: Anycubic i3 Mega (UB)

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.15

Infill: 18%

Filament: Patona PLA white

Notes:

The support piece sits sort of tight after printing, but that is normal. It can usually be broken out of the clip insert with no problems by using small pliers.

Printing the hook upright (not on the side as delivered) in an FDM printer is not recommended since the layer structure will then be aligned in an unfavourable way to the downforce vector of gravity and may break a lot easier if subjected to substantial weight.
