Custom Drawer for Ender 3 Pro =========================== ###Updates! There is now overall improvements to the usability of the drawers themselves and added drawers for a left side. In addition a Hex Key Holder. Reverse and forward comparability is also maintained. ##Usability Updates -The SD card slots have been changed for better usability. The regular SD card has been moved to be flush against the wall of the drawer meaning you can now slide them out with one finger, where as before you had to pinch it with two at an uncomfortable angel. The wall supporting the card has also been lowered so that should a micro SD cared fall into them you have an easier time getting it out out. (As before you were not always able to get something in the space to grab it and had to dump the drawer upside down.) -The Micro SD slots have been raised up to make it easier to grab and place them. -All drawers have had the side floor panels raised up so the grid containers would not slide up onto them and fall out of place. -All drawers have had the back misc. slot raided up and has a side ramp, giving the space better access and more usability. ## New Components -If you have moved the electronics to a new position opening up the front, there is now drawers for the left side allowing you to double your drawer space. -There is a new piece that holds the hex keys for the printer. This fits on top off a 2x6 container allowing you to stack it on top of the 2x6. (SEE IMAGES ABOVE!!!! This will make it clear what this does). (WARNING, in order to stack the two pieces, they can only fit on the bottom drawers, as the top drawer does not have enough room) ###Overall These are drawers that contain an assortment box system allowing for a customizable layout. This allows you to change the layout by swapping containers rather than having having a fixed wall that can only be changed by reprinting the entire drawer. It is a modular grid system of containers that can be combined to make different sizes. The base size is a 1x1 (20mmx20mm) ranging from different combinations. 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 3x4, etc. ### Drawers The Top Drawer has a grid system going up to a 4x7 The Bottom Drawer has a grid system going up to 5x7 Bonus! --------- -The bottom drawer has a bonus SD card holder. (3 Standard SD cars slots and 4 Micro SD card slot) -In addition both drawers have a small miscellaneous sot in the back for thin and small items. ### Further Explanation The extra sides on the back and walls are simply due to leftover space in trying to fit a grid system into the set space of the drawer. Making it smaller and being able to evenly fit a grid system(and use up that space) made the base size too small to be useful forcing you to go up in sizes which ended up giving you less room. Going the other way, and making it bigger made it too big back to the point you might as well just print a wall and call it a day. ### Future Updates -Will include an option that does not need support material ### Enjoy If you would like to see any changes or have recommendations, please leave a comment so I can improve the drawer system! ##Credits -Remixed from Ender 3 Pro dual double sided drawer by Chodec -https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4716580 Used the same drawer measurements and the same drawer case.
