I was not a fan of the TPU antenna mount that came with my Smart 25. It did not hold the antenna very securely, and it was so thin that the rigidity of the coax cable alone was enough to flex it so that the antenna was basically sticking straight back instead of at an angle. It also was only attached at one point which made that issue even more noticeable. So I decided to design this upgraded version up in CAD which solves both issues at once. It's a bit thicker, making it much more rigid, and also secured in two places making for a nice secure connection to the frame. The antenna coax is fed through the hole in the center of the piece (you must disconnect it from the Vista to do so), then turns a corner and goes into the 10 degree angled antenna support, which clamps onto the antenna with a single small zip tie. You should make that zip tie as tight as possible, to reduce the chances of the antenna getting yanked out in a crash and possibly damaging the coax cable. You will have to remove the top plate and Vista to do this mod, but it's not difficult at all and only takes a few minutes. You may have to desolder the XT30 or desolder the power lead from the FC to thread it through the mount, as with the original design, due to the power lead guide hole being smaller than an XT30 connector. Hardware required: The original M2 screw which attached the original TPU mount to the rear standoff M2 nut (ideally *not* a nylon lock-nut) M2x4-ish screw (socket or button head doesn't really matter) The reason you don't want the M2 nut to be a nylock nut is because the nut is recessed into the mount. If the nut is too tight on the M2 screw, the nut will just spin in the mount (because TPU is soft lol) and not actually thread on. A regular M2 nut is just fine, lighter, and lower profile, and should not go anywhere. If you have trouble installing the screw without the nut spinning you can try using some needle nose pliers to squeeze either side of the TPU mount around the nut to keep it from spinning.
