When replacing the unreliable T2.5 belts and pulleys originally used in the Vertex K8400 printer with GT2 belts and pulleys using the instructions in project https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1857266, I had trouble with the belt clamps cracking and failing. These upgraded belt clamps are 3 times thicker and have solved the issue. The original M3 x 12mm screws need to be replaced with M3 x 14mm screws due to the increased thickness and I would recommend button head screws as shown in the picture to increase clearance and provide a wider base for improved load distribution. Overall, the upgrade to GT2 belts and pulleys has transformed the Vertex K8400 into a very accurate and reliable 3D printer. I highly recommend the GT2 upgrade.
