This unique design offers certain advantages over the official case that comes with the 7" LCD: 1. The brackets facilitate upright mounting of the case, thereby eliminating the need for display rotation through 180 degrees. This improves the viewing angle. 2. The LCD is reclined at 15 degrees and is at just the right height above table top to ergonomically suit touch operation by index finger. 3. The optional 4mm steel rods (which can be purchased from open market) safeguard sideways tilting of the brackets. 4. The back cover addresses the shortcomings of official 7" LCD case by facilitating mounting of a cooling fan, providing opening for header pins and making provision for mounting the Pi camera. The camera's bracket can either be fixed rigidly to the back cover using M3 screws, or can be made tiltable, as shown in the figure. Hope the design proves to be useful.
