US Standard Toilet Seat Bolt (3/8")
US Standard bolt for connecting the toilet seat to the toilet. Realized it was based on the 3/8" unified thread standard, which is how I got the thread pitch correct. Customized version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647 Created with Customizer! http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=193647 Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple White Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 20% Notes: My test print was 20% infill, but I did a 100% infill print afterwards for strength against sheering. Instructions I wanted to use the existing plastic nut since it is easy to hand tighten and it was only the bold that was broken. So, I went through the task of figuring out the right dimensions and options to match the original bolt. Using the following options (us_standard_toilet_seat_bolt.stl)m 20% infill: slot_width = 2 wing_ratio = 1 thread_step = 1.5875 nut_type = wingnut thread_length = 45 non_thread_length = 14 drive_diameter = 15 nut_height = 12 drive_type = slot step_shape_degrees = 45 socket_depth = 3.5 texture = exclude thread_outer_diameter = 9 socket_facets = 6 nut_diameter = 15 nut_thread_outer_diameter = 10 head_diameter = 15 head_type = socket nut_step_shape_degrees = 45 slot_depth = 2 outer_diameter = 14 resolution = 0.5 countersink = 0 nut_thread_step = 1.5 non_thread_diameter = 0 thickness = 2 head_height = 5 type = bolt inner_diameter = 10 facets = 6 At 100% infill I had some issues so I also made one that was smaller. (toilet bolt 100infill): thread_length = 43 thread_outer_diameter = 8.5 Here were the settings that changed in 3_8in_standardized_bolt.stl: thread_length = 43 thread_outer_diameter = 9.525
