This is the first model of three for the USAF GLCM series. The USAF GLCM and the US Army's Pershing II were the incentives that fostered Soviet willingness to sign the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF treaty), and reduced the threat of nuclear wars in Europe. This was modeled after the paper model that I designed of this vehicle. The V-10 diesel engine MAN trucks share the MAN D-2840 V10 400hp turbo-diesel engine coupled to the MAN ZF4S-15GP 6-spd transmission and an 8x8 chassis with two steerable axles. It could travel over the highway or off road.
