USB Cable Tag ("Data Block")

USB Cable Tag ("Data Block")

prusaprinters

I purchased some data blocking USB cables online - they allow you to charge devices without any chance of a data connection (I'm paranoid), but have no markings on them to indicate what they are, so I created this "Data Block" marker/ label/ tag.

The tag comes in two halves (print two of the same one!) and can then be superglued around the cable. I also create some handy clamping blocks designed to fit on either side to allow you to clamp the two halves together while the glue sets.

Printed with the flat sides down at 0.4 x 0.15mm (variable), 15% infill in PLA. No supports necessary, but make sure you get good adhesion - these are smallish parts. Fusion 360 file included in case you want to modify the design - I'm not precious.
