USB Hub

USB Hub

So I received this USB hub as a freebie during a convention (last pictures).

While it's only using USB 2.0 I certainly have a use for it. My Microsoft Surface Pro only has one USB port so I frequently had to choose between using a mouse and plugging in a flash drive.

Since I didn't want to carry around an oversize piece of plastic with free ads I took some measurements of the PCB, jumped into Fusion 360 and created this case. In Cura I used the modify G-Code Plugin to have it pause printing just before adding the "lid". I glued in the PCB with some super glue, tucked in the cables and continued printing the rest.

I know this project is very specific to my existing hardware and can't be easily adapted by someone else, but I thought I might as well share it. Maybe someone can get some inspiration through this. Feel free to use my Fusion 360 file to modify it.

I'd love to see your prints.
