USB Power Supply

USB Power Supply

thingiverse

This Thing is a small enclosure that houses a 12/24Vdc Buck Converter which outputs 5Vdc to a USB A connector. The **USB Bottom** part contains a V-Slot mounting flange comparable with the _Prusa MK 2/3 Bear Upgrade_. Input to the devise is 12/24Vdc from the _Prusa PSU_ spare contacts. With the Printer powered up the PSU provides Vcc (either 12Vdc or 24Vdc depending on printer model). The electronics assembly converts this voltage into 5.1Vdc and outputs the result on a standard USB A type connector. Up to 3 amps may be drawn from this connector. Powering a Raspberry PI running OctoPrint is the primary use for this supply but the it can be used for any other USB charging requirement as long as the current drawn does not exceed 3 amps.
