UsLs1 - Viking Headstrap Mod - Oculus Quest (Questenstein Mod)

Crazy simple and easily reversible (Non-Destructive) mod that completely replaces the Oculus Quest Headstrap. (More adjustment capability then the Deluxe Audio Headstrap and only costs $30) Significantly better weight distribution, Significantly better fit and customization. The only part that needs to be printed is printed twice. (One for each side no need to flip or invert model) Simple print, no supports, but I would recommend ABS, PETG or Nylon. I printed in PETG. ( I personally wouldn't trust PLA for this application. ) This requires no permanent modification to either the Quest nor the Viking headstrap, only the removal of the headstraps on each part. As you can see there are posts in the back of the my printed part that align with Viking Headstrap holes for the forehead strap that will need to be removed and replaced by the printed part. For added security I used my 3D pen to mushroom out the ends of the posts (After installation) to ensure they stay put. You can use anything you want to do this, (Soldering Iron, Hot Glue Gun etc.) but I recommend doing it. After applying some velcro just fish the new part through the opening where you took out the Viking forehead strap (The part with the cushion in front) and replace with this part and velcro to the quest. DONE. I had a piece of velcro on one side from testing a previous part that did not have the posts and kept it on one side to test the new part. It is TOTALLY not needed and has since been removed from my headstrap. I am currently working on adapters for the Speakers to fit on the REMOVABLE / ADJUSTABLE mask mounting points. An update to attach removable speakers to this head strap is in the works. Hope you enjoy it! Please share with your communities.
