USO : Unidentified Storage Object

USOs are invading build plates worldwide - Unidentified Storage Objects with an outer disk section that rotates have started popping up everywhere! The images prove that USOs exist, and they're a blast to use as storage solutions in the shape of UFOs. Each USO has two parts (upper and lower) that link together to rotate around a central body part. Use silicone lubricant on all contacting surfaces for smooth rotation and thread engagement. A standard-scale USO is approximately 125mm in diameter and 75mm high, making it perfect as a model UFO or storage container for small items. Inside, you'll find seven storage areas, including a secret chamber under the base part. To an unsuspecting observer, the USO will look like just another model - but with a surprising twist. The USO design consists of five parts, each easy to print on PLA without support using precise machines. Accuracy is key to ensure proper thread formation and clearance. Note: An alternative top has been added for hanging purposes, featuring two small holes in the hang top.stl file. Make your own USO as a fun model or storage solution - they'll look great in any color! You can even pause the print at 1mm height to add a colorful ring around the upper disk. The base looks fantastic when printed in a different color from the body and disk parts, as seen in the images. Scaling up or down should work fine, but be careful not to scale down too much, as clearances might become too tight for proper part fitting and thread engagement. Check out the print instructions and images for more information, and don't forget to post your USO creations for others to see!
