Roller lifters were developed in the early automobliles then faded in use until the drag racers made various means of preventing the lifter from rotating in the cylindrical bores designed for flat tappets. This one only has a roller as if cut from a standard hydraulic lifter. It looks right in the bore this way beore the way I choose to lock it is added.
