Human: 14/03/2020: I've improved the design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4221825 (use this!!!) Digital Setting Circles (DSC) for Dobson telescopes like GSO 10" and others - edit DSC-2-320T.f3d. Watch this video: https://youtu.be/2mVBZ-NWCAs Use the 10x Az-Gear-650T.stl file. Add rotary AB encoders and 608 bearings to your project. Secure arm's axes with M4 screws, and attach Alt-M8M4-Adapter into bearings. I used a BluePill STM32 board, bluetooth module, and Dave Ek's files as my base. Why Bluepill? Because it has quadrature decoders built-in. Why Bluetooth? Because it's low energy - however, it's not compatible with iPhones: only wifi is supported (I'm working on an esp8266 version). You can run this project with SkySafari in Push-To mode using 46.800 Az. steps and 23.040 Alt. steps (for 360 steps/rev. encoders) from EKSFiles.net. Next update: I'll be designing an enclosure for the electronic board. When printing, use PLA but opt for PETG for springs instead! Here's the code: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1N6Vt7jSDvYrJH7w-vkBxfs-yKSp0lNVI Next version: I'll be removing holes from the mount for easier installation.
