Just a simple folding printer concept I was messing around with--got as far as a basic effector and realized it wasn't exactly what I was looking for; still publishing the model in case it serves as inspiration for anyone :)A few notes: the printer has a build area of 120x 120y 140z and overall folded dimensions are 230x 270y 60z for a pretty compact design. The X effector is not complete--it needs belt clamps and a proper design to have the part cooling fan separate when folded (as it otherwise sticks out another 15mm). It's made for an Anet mainboard since I was planning on building it and had one laying around. Uses 26mm long NEMA 14 motors (also stuff I have laying around), and the rest of the parts are pretty standard. The ball joints for the connecting rods are #10-32 steel ball joints (https://www.mcmaster.com/60645K11/) , and carbon fiber rod (https://www.mcmaster.com/2153T117/) would probably be a wise choice for the folding mech. rods (I was just going to epoxy the ball joints into the rod if I were to make it). Also meant to fit in a carrying case around this size (https://www.mcmaster.com/6589A24/) with room at the bottom for a standard power supply and LCD/extras if needed. Please credit me if you modify this design or make it! Note that it has NOT been tested and is just a concept.
