I wanted to DIY dual extrusion and wanted the new style clamp. So I drew up this one based on the Ultimaker v1 laser cut patterns and Bertho's extruder, and adapted for components more readily available in the US. Instructions Ultimaker v.2 Drive Replica What it is, what it isn't This is an extruder drive design, based on the Ultimaker extruder drive and Bertho's extruder upgrade. It is NOT the lasercut pattern for the original Ultimaker v2 drive, which is closed source. It is not intended to be part compatible with either design. I wanted to DIY dual extrusion and wanted the new style clamp, so I drew up this one based on the Ultimaker v1 laser cut patterns, and adapted for components more readily available in the US. BOM Material 1/8" (~3mm) plywood 3mm delrin printed block Hardware 1" x .3" x 60 lb/in spring (http://www.mcmaster.com/#9573k11/) 1/8"ID, 5/16"OD, 9/64"W bearing (http://www.mcmaster.com/#57155k366) Screws M3x20mm (5ct) M3x12mm (4ct) M3x30mm (1ct) M3 locknut (3ct) M3 hexnut (7ct) M3 washer (2ct) M4 washer (1ct) Notes YMMV on spring choice. This design has about 20mm max installed spring length. The spring I used has about 8kgf at 17mm length, where Bertho's design uses 3.4kgf. When laser cutting the plywood, use raster at high power to route out the space for the bearing and wheel. Test cut a few squares to ~.3mm depth Print the block with high internal fill as it is a structural part. Use the 12mm width block if you have metric 4mm plywood instead of 1/8" plywood.
