2018-06-18 - See https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2967526 for newest v7 model. Different tubes, shorter print time. 2016-10-24 - See http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1848291 for a model that can be fully enclosed in 4" pipe. 2016-06-03 - Updated file to make top diameter 1.5mm smaller to better fit ID of 4" pipe. 2017-09-04 - New version that cuts out some of the center to reduce print time / material. Shouldn't have any negative effect on function. This version is designed to correct a few printing related deficiencies. No more bridging Hollowed from the bottom. If the print isn't completely water tight, this can be filled in with some kind of filler to seal the tubes. I'm hoping this to be easier to seal up if there is any printing related leaks. Removed a lot of excess area to save print time and plastic. Issues I have been having with printing: Several micro leaks between layers. Leaks very slowly. If you know how to print without leaks or a suitable and inexpensive way to plug leaks, please let me know. A cell housing for 7 tubes for a water fuel cell. I designed it to be size compatible with 4" inner diameter clear pipe. Tubes it is designed for: Outer diameter of outer tube 1" Outer diameter of inner tube 3/4" Outer tube is 77mm long. Inner tube is 90mm long. These are NOT the dimensions of Stan Meyer's tubes! I make no claims whatsoever as to effectiveness, fit or suitability. This is here simply for interest sake. I recommend having wall thickness >1mm when printing. The holes for the contacts are 5mm in diameter, to be tapped for M6 screws. I have also made some nicer caps. Print Settings Printer: Modified Cobblebot Rafts: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: Thicker walls/shells recommended. I use 6 layer perimeters/shells. PLA NOT recommended. PETG or ABS preferred. I printed with 0.4mm nozzle and still had micro leaks printing with PETG. Perhaps printing with a wider nozzle may reduce leaks? 100% infill may reduce chances for leaks although increase print time obviously. This is a long print. Could take 35 hours or longer. Mine printed in 37 hours.
