Vacuum Adaptor for DeWalt D26676-XE Planer (To suit 35mm hose)

The DeWalt D26676-XE Planer has a somewhat unusual airfoil/cloud icon shaped dust port, (see photos) and I've never found an adaptor that suits this planer. Even if I did, DeWalt has a disturbingly high price for some of it's accessories. I made this adaptor to fit onto the outside of the dust port on the planer, and then allow a standard circular 35mm vacuum to be inserted into the other end of the adaptor. Both ends have a taper to ensure a firm attachment and decent seal. The adaptor was designed to be 3mm thick, which has been more than adequate for my needs. Going much thicker would run into some of the surrounding protrusions on the planer. It works for me but it will quickly fill your vacuum if you aren't careful. I highly recommend using a cyclonic separator if at all possible.
