Valve Index 58 IPD Position Holder

Valve Index 58 IPD Position Holder

For Valve Index owners who want to use the lowest IPD setting (58), there is an issue when you bring the lenses towards your face to increase the FOV as high as possible. Since the lenses are moved in so far, your nose will rest on the side of the lenses, and may push them out adjusting the IPD in the middle of an experience. I have designed this to fit into the space in the IPD adjuster to hold it in place firmly at 58. It can be removed easily to be adjusted for someone else. With this in place, you can move the lenses as close as you want and your nose will be unable to move the lenses. This was designed and tested to be printed in TPU. Do not print in regular plastic. Use 100% infil to make it firm. It is worth noting that I did attempt to have the edges of the part flush with the IPD adjuster top, but I realized there is a chance it could get pushed into the goggle internals. Having it over the wall a bit eliminates this risk.
