Valve Index: Gun Stock Grip

This is a grip for the Index controllers. It can be glued to whatever base block you have on your stock. I use this stock ( which I also designed) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2825084 The controllers slide in and out and lightly lock in place. They are removed by a mild twist. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMuar0BpRqM You can play with print settings. I used 2mm wall and top/bottom thickness and 75% infill with triangles. You can probably get away with little or no infill. You will need to do a little bit of dremel tool work. This kinda sucks but it will make for a better fit if you go slow. After printing, push the controller in and out and you will see where it is tight ( at the bottom where the arc fits) Just start lightly removing material until it fits how you like it. Enlarging the print to 105% will reduce the amount of dremel tool work. You will likely need to heat the upper part of the grip until soft and then place the controller into it and squeeze it to reform slightly. Mirror this for the other hand. And finally, for the tail of the strap on the controller... I have one side pulled tight and the other I pull the slack out so that there is only a small loop sticking out on the inside of the controller... this prevents the cord loop from interfering with inserting the controller into the grip.
